Mr. G.Gerelt-Od, First Vice Chairman of the National Statistical office of Mongolia has successfully attended to the International seminar on “Early warning and business cycle indicators” which took place in Scheveningen, the Netherland during 14-16 December, 2009. The seminar has been organized as the continuation of the first International seminar on Timeliness, Methodology and Comparability of Rapid Estimates of Economic Trends, which took place in Ottawa, Canada, between 27-29 May 2009. In this seminar, many important topics such as key economic indicators, business tendency surveys, rapid economic changes and rapid estimates, availability and quality of short term statistics, have been presented by the participants. On day 2, Mr.G.Gerelt-Od, First Vice Chairman of the National Statistical Office of Mongolia, has presented a paper titled “The role of composite indicators in tracking business cycles in Mongolia”. During the seminar, Mr.G.Gerelt-Od, First Vice Chairman, has met with the Directors of the UNSD, UNESCAP, and UNECE, discussed about the possibilities to develop more fruitful cooperation with these organizations in the future... |
